This here is a short film I wrote, director, shot, and edited in 2018 titled Hit and Run. On the surface it's about a young man's battle with deciding to confront an automotive collision he caused, or flee the scene to evade consequence. Underneath, however, it's about the preservation of one's own innocence morally and spiritually. The protagonist sees an easy escape, and his own self-preservation pulls him in that direction, but it's the reminder of his own innocence that ultimately pulls him toward altruism. That reminder is through the 'Baby On Board' sticker. By saving the very real child in the other car, he's also saving the spiritual baby that is his untarnished soul. Save the baby, save himself.
I wrote, shot, directed, and edited the entire film in 3 days in 2018.
It stars Caiden Falstrup as the driver.
